It is an exciting environment where attention to detail, curiosity, and adaptability all play a key role in supporting studies that have the potential to transform patient care.

The team is friendly, collaborative, and highly motivated, with a strong shared commitment to delivering high-quality research. We work closely with a wide range of clinical and research colleagues, creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where everyone contributes to success. There are excellent opportunities to develop specialist skills in early phase and ATMP trials, and to be part of a forward-thinking team that values growth, teamwork, and making a real impact through innovative research.

What you will bring to the role

The candidate will bring a proactive, self-motivated and detail-focused approach to supporting early phase and advanced therapy clinical trials within the SJUH Clinical Research Facility. With a strong interest in clinical research and a commitment to high-quality delivery, they will support the safe, efficient and compliant running of studies in a complex, fast-paced environment.

They will have a solid understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research governance and regulatory requirements, ensuring studies are delivered in line with protocols, sponsor expectations and NHS standards. Their strong organisational skills will support study set-up, patient visit coordination, accurate documentation, and timely data entry.

The post-holder will work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, research nurses, pharmacists and data teams, as well as external partners such as industry sponsors and the NIHR Yorkshire and Humber Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN). They will confidently engage with stakeholders and contribute to meetings to support improved research delivery.

Strong communication skills will support patient-centred recruitment, retention and informed consent processes. Their attention to detail and problem-solving skills will help maintain study integrity and participant safety.
